Coronavirus in Italy

DCS staff are working in the red zone of Milan, Livorno and other locations in the country.

Italy is divided in two with a large red zone in Northern Italy.

The movement of people from one province to another have been prohibited in the red zone, but road transport of goods is regular, although it is subject to the rules imposed by the authorities.

All meetings, cinema, theatre , museum etc have been stopped all over Italy .

some factories in the red zone stopped the production and some companies have the staff working from home.

In the other part of Italy the work is going on as usual

There are shipping difficulties because of blank sails and because of the lack of empty containers that is beginning to affect the activity.

Logistics is going on, even if there are problems, including the demand for price increases by shipping lines.

For the export shipments there are no further problems yet.

It could happen that there are some problem for the delivery of goods imported into Italy if the final consignee is located in the red zone.
